A few specific fixes for hegarty.co.uk

Hegarty Solicitors · Stamford branch · website rebuild

I rebuild small-business sites in my spare time when I can see they are leaving conversions on the table. I spent forty minutes on the Stamford office page on a phone with mobile data; three things stood out for a fifty-two-year regional firm whose Stamford branch runs a free Wednesday family-law clinic with a Resolution-accredited domestic-violence and private-children specialist, and yet whose office page mentions none of that above the fold. Below, three findings in plain prose, a pricing block, then a working rebuild you can click through.

01

The free Wednesday family-law clinic, run by a Resolution-accredited specialist, is buried three nav clicks deep and uses a different phone number to the main Stamford office.

What I saw

Every Wednesday, anyone in Stamford can book a free twenty-minute confidential conversation with Pavinder Khela, a Senior Associate who holds Resolution accreditations in both domestic violence and private children law (fewer than two hundred UK solicitors hold both). The clinic covers divorce, separation, children's arrangements, cohabitation, financial settlements, pension sharing, change of name and domestic abuse. On the live site it lives at hegarty.co.uk/about-us/events/family-law-clinic-stamford, three nav clicks from the homepage. It is not on the Stamford office page hero. It is not in the hours block. It is not in the meta description. It is not in any structured data. And the booking number printed on it (01780 750 956) is different to the main Stamford office number (01780 752 066) printed everywhere else, with no explanation, which alone will lose enquiries.

What the rebuild does about it

The rebuild lifts the Wednesday clinic into the Stamford hero ribbon, into the dedicated Visit and Hours block alongside the 09:00 to 17:15 office hours, and into its own clinic block with Pavinder's two Resolution specialisms named in full and her photo above the fold. Both numbers are surfaced together with one line of context (a dedicated clinic line that lands directly with the Family team, the main number for everything else). The clinic moves into the LegalService and Service schema so Google can answer the spoken Lincolnshire query free family law solicitor Stamford Wednesday with one citation rather than zero.

02

The Stamford office page is a generic template across the five offices. Neither Andrea Beesley-Hewitt nor Pavinder Khela appears above the fold despite leading the two practice lines a Stamford client searches for first.

What I saw

The current hegarty.co.uk/contact-us/stamford-office is a templated five-office layout. The Stamford-specific information above the fold is the postal address, the phone number, opening hours and a single exterior photo of the Ironmonger Street office, which is fine; what is missing is any of the seven named Stamford fee-earners, and in particular Andrea Beesley-Hewitt (Partner, Head of Wills, Trusts and Probate) and Pavinder Khela (Senior Associate, Family Law and clinic lead). A new Stamford visitor who searches for a will solicitor Stamford or a divorce solicitor Stamford lands on the office page expecting to see who they will sit across the table from; the page does not name them. The named-solicitor reassurance is what wins the file over a template-driven national chain.

What the rebuild does about it

The rebuild rebuilds the Stamford office page around the people, not the postcode. Hero left: Pavinder, family law lead and Wednesday clinic specialist, named with her Resolution accreditations. Hero right: a real photo of either the Ironmonger Street shopfront with the team named under it, or Pavinder herself. A four-card team strip below the fold names every Stamford fee-earner with their practice and the email that routes directly to their inbox. The page reads as the Stamford branch of a regional firm, not as a generic office contact page.

03

No LegalService schema, no Attorney records for Andrea or Pavinder, no aggregateRating tied to the 2,236 ReviewSolicitors entries at 4.9 stars, no og:image on the Stamford page.

What I saw

A crawl of the Stamford office page surfaces no per-office LegalService schema. No Attorney record for Andrea Beesley-Hewitt or Pavinder Khela. The Stamford branch has 2,236 reviews on ReviewSolicitors at 4.9 out of 5 (one of the largest counts of any East Midlands regional firm), and not one of those reviews is bound into an aggregateRating block on the page. No Service block for the Wednesday clinic. No FAQPage. And crucially, no og:image set on the Stamford office page at all, so every share of the page in WhatsApp, iMessage, LinkedIn or Slack unfurls as a blank card or a generic site icon. The firm has spent fifty-two years earning a four-point-nine star reputation in Stamford and the structured-data layer of the office page tells search engines and chat clients nothing about it.

What the rebuild does about it

The rebuild ships a single schema graph: Organization plus a Stamford-scoped LegalService block, an Attorney record for both Andrea and Pavinder with their accreditations and email addresses, a Service block for the free Wednesday clinic, an AggregateRating tied to the verified ReviewSolicitors 2,236-review figure, and a FAQPage. The og:image meta points at a hosted Stamford-office photo so every shared link unfurls with the actual Ironmonger Street shopfront, not a blank card. Within a few weeks the firm starts showing up on the local long-tail queries a Stamford prospect actually types.
